Ecosystem Based Adaptation Day will take place on Saturday 11 Octuber, 2014. This is for the COP12, MOP7 and MOP1, in Pyeongchang, Korea 2014.

The Program of the day :

9h30-10h45 am : Morning Session 1 : Climate Change and biodiversity : the latest and science and policy responses. Participants : SCBD, WWF, Department of Environmental Affairs of South Africa, Korea Adaptaion Centre for Climate Change. (Breakfast will be provided)

11h15-12h30 am : Morning Session 2 : Planning and Policy : Mainstreaming Biodiversity into National Adaptation Planning. Partcipants : SCBD, GIZ.

1h15-2h30 pm : Lunchtime Session : Protecting Coastal and Marine Biodiversity and Biodiversity-based Livelihoods from the Impacts of Climate Change. Partcipants : SPREP, UNEP/ICRI, ASEAN. (Lunch will be provided).

3h00-4h15 pm : Afternoon Session 1 : Strengthening Ecological and Social Resilience to Climate Change. Participants : WWF/Living Amazon Initiative, UNEP Agrobiodiversity (tbc), SWEDBIO (tbc), CBD LifeWeb. (Coffee Break will be provided).

4h45-6h00 pm : Afternoon Session 2 : National Initiatives and Experiences in Ecosystem Based Adaptation : the case of Guatemala. Partcipants : CONAP
