Consolidation and Application of Ecoregional Methods: Strategies on institutionalization of ecoregional methods

The purpose of this report is to provide a review of the experiences of the earlier ecoregional projects with a bias to those that aim at delivering information, to contribute to the institutionalisation of the ecoregional analysis. To start with an understanding of the concept of ecoregional research is essential, as well as of the purpose of the ecoregional projects and the various experiences that can be drawn from them. The succeeding section presents the working definition of the ecoregional research and institutionalisation, and the purpose of ecoregional projects reviewed in this report.
