It was with a vision to systematically mapping the complexity of the HKH agricultural ecosystem that the ecoregional project 'Methodologies for Assessing Sustainable Agricultural Systems in the Hindu Kush-Himalayan Region: An Eco-Regional Framework was funded'. This Project has taken an ecoregional approach to developing a set of
methodologies, databases and interactive toolkits that facilitate the sharing, the retrieval, and the analysis of useful information on the Hindu Kush-Himalayan region.
