Payment for Environmental Services: Brazil

This report presents the findings of the second stage of Compensation for Environmental
Services Project (CES)1, carried out in Brazil from May to September of 2001. The principal
objective of the project was to assess to what extent and under what conditions rural
communities could benefit from environmental services provided by their territories.
