La Conservation Strategy Fund (CSF) anunció que está en la búsqueda de un Director para América Latina a tiempo completo. La CSF es un organización internacional sin fines de lucro dedicada al desarrollo de estrategias y usos económicos para ayudar a la conservación de ecosistemas naturales alrededor del mundo.

Se busca a un profesional con posgrado en economía, administración, políticas públicas, gestióm ambiental o similares, y 7 a 10 años de experiencia. La capacitación inicial será en California; pero la sede del puesto en Brasilia - Brasil. Conservation Strategy Fund (CSF) announces a full-time position for a South America Director. CSF is an international non-profit organization dedicated to helping conservation professionals use economics and strategic analysis to protect natural ecosystems. Responsibilities


The South America Program Director will oversee Conservation Strategy Fund"s work throughout the continent.

CSF currently has four staff members in South America, and expects this number to grow to around 7-8 over the next two years. This position involves ensuring that timely and high-quality results are produced by all CSF projects in the region. After initial training in CSF"s California offices, this job will be based in CSF"s office in Brasília. The person who occupies this post will specifically:


Human Resources



  • Manage CSF staff and consultants responsible for field projects and courses
  • Supervise Brazil Office staff
  • Project Management and Oversight
  • Work with staff and consultants to keep field projects and courses on task and on schedule
  • Coordinate with consultants and outside experts to ensure technical quality of analysis products
  • Work with financial management staff to develop and manage project and office budgets
  • Travel to project sites throughout continent to give support and oversight
  • Resolve practical and logistical hurdles to project completion
  • Coordinate with CSF"s many partners in the region
  • Grants Management and Reporting
  • Report to CSF"s leadership, Board of directors, regional advisors and financial supporters on technical and financial aspects of projects
  • Work with CSF staff in Brazil and Bolivia to ensure compliance with all national, internal and donor-imposed norms
  • Organizational Development
  • Develop and fundraise for new initiatives
  • Represent CSF at conferences, donor meetings, press conferences, and other events


Qualifications



  • 7-10 years relevant work experience
  • Commitment to conserving natural environments
  • A post-graduate degree in economics, business administration, public policy, environmental management or similar
  • Experience with non-profit management
  • Analytical skills and experience conducting economic and policy analysis
  • Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to function in different cultures
  • Strong language skills in English and Portuguese or Spanish (preferably all three)
  • Demonstrated project and human resource management skills
  • Creativity and energy to launch new projects in response to emerging opportunities
  • Intellectual honesty and curiosity
  • Willingness to travel extensively
  • Highest standards of ethical behavior and treatment of others
