Maestría Agris Mundus convoca a nuevos estudiantes

Retransmitimos la carta enviada por Didier Pillot, Coordinador de Agris Mundus, sobre la convocatoria para la Maestría que ofrecen para estudiantes de los países en desarrollo. Estos cursos duran dos años de un programa de entrenamiiento con 120 ECTS (European Credits Transfer System) en desarrollo agrícola y gestión de los recursos naturales.

El curso tiene una duración de un año en una institución europea (M1) y luego dos años en diferentes ciudades de europa (M2). Sólo tienen plazo hasta el 18 de enero para aplicar.

Dear colleague,



I am pleased to inform you that the Agris Mundus course has now launched a new call for candidates. Agris Mundus is supported by the Erasmus Mundus programme of the European Commission and therefore, a number of scholarships are available for  selected students from the third countries.


The Agris Mundus Masters course"s objectives are to train students able to cope with the current global/international concerns in agriculture and rural development. Graduates will be qualified to identify and critically analyse key factors shaping the development of crop, forest and animal production, the management of research and rural development projects and finally, the sustainable use of natural resources and the environment. They will be trained to formulate and provide effective and appropriate responses to complex agriculture and natural resources related issues.


Duration:   2 years (120 ECTS).


The programme involves one year (M1) in one European training institution, and one year (M2) in a second institution in a different European country. 7 possible specialisations are offered as follows:



  • Agricultural systems research and development

  • Horticultural crops management;

  • Livestock production & systems;

  • Land and water management;

  • Human Nutrition and Food Systems;

  • Rural local development & food security.


Teaching languages: English, French, Spanish, Italian, according to the various M1/M2 possible combinations.



Institutions involved:



  • the Wageningen University and Research Centre in the Netherlands,

  • the Royal Veterinary and Agricultural University (KVL) in Denmark,

  • the University of Cork in Ireland,

  • the University of Catania in Italy,

  • the Polytechnic University of Madrid in Spain

  • and the Centre National d"Etudes Agronomiques des Régions Chaudes of Agropolis, Montpellier, France
