• 12 years of professional experience in design, management and development of effective problem-solving research projects in tropical conservation and development in Ecuador, Colombia, Brazil and Bolivia.
• Experienced facilitator, and trainer; has conducted and organized meetings and workshops related to environmental issues for international donor teams and projects, international research institutions, non-governmental organizations, local government authorities, park rangers, extension agents, graduate, undergraduate and high school students, and local farmers.
• Ample knowledge of links between biodiversity conservation and livelihoods in Ecuador especially in the Amazon-Andes highlands region where interdisciplinary and participatory dissertation research was developed by establishing partnerships at multiple-scales from national government authorities and non-governmental organizations to local resource managers.
