Climate Change, Desertification, Environmental Conflicts and Migrations - An internacional Network of experts of Traditional Knowledge for a common strategy

Final report of the ITKNET Major Conference that was held on the 28th and 29th of June in Florence in the Sala Giunta of the Region of Tuscany. Its objetives were organize and consolidate an international network of experts on Traditional Knowledge; proposal of operational and institutional strategy for the creation of the Centre; and, continue with the implementation of the Traditional Knowledge classification structure and expert system, disseminate and share it with other Countries.

On these occasions it was stated that it is necessary to classify, protect and disseminate Traditional Knowledge. The UNCCD Conference Of the Parties entrusted Italy with the mandate of organizing an International Network of institutions and experts on Traditional Knowledge and to create an International Centre.
