Mountain forests landscapes provide essential ecosystem services to sustain human life. However, mountain forests landscapes are almost invisible in national and international climate change strategies.

  • Enhancing the visibility of the mountain forest landscapes as important resources to reduce climate change impacts and improve quality of life for local people from Africa, Asia an Andean region.
  • Highlighting concrete actions from Africa, Asia and the Andean region that are directed towards reducing vulnerability to climate change through sustainable management practices for mountain forest landscapes
  •  Audience recommendations for the construction of common agendas that will foster action and knowledge sharing and advocacy.

The ANFOR AFF – ASFN event will take place during the special MOUNTAIN DAY hosted in the Peru Pavilion, at Paris-Le Bourget, from 18.00 to 19.30 hours on 8 (Tuesday) December 2015.
