Call for research fellowships in Turin: Train to Move (T2M)

Thursday, 19 March, 2015 - 10:39

Train To Move (T2M) is a new transnational mobility fellowship programme promoted by the University of Turin, with the active support of the banking foundation, Compagnia di San Paolo. T2M is cofounded within the European Union’s FP7 People-specific programme with the general aim of fostering excellent research in Europe to face the challenges of contemporary society.

It is designed to create favorable conditions for the international mobility of highly skilled researchers and to promote the mobility between public/academic and private /non-academic sector.

The first call,  in 2014, awarded 14 experienced researchers opportunities to be hosted in ten different departments of UNITO (see the Train2Move web page for more). The present call is aimed at a similar target.

The T2M programme is open to researchers of any nationality with up to 7 years of research experience since PhD or researchers having a maximum of 4-10 years research experience after Master's degree at the time of the call deadline.

Eligible researchers must comply with the mobility rule, meaning  they must not have resided or carried out their main activity (work, studies, etc.) in Italy for more than 12 months in the three  years immediately prior to the closing date for proposal submission. Short stays such as holidays are not taken into account.

Fellowships will last 24 months. Fellows will be hosted at UNITO, one of the most prestigious Italian universities. UNITO will provide fellows with access to research groups working in 26 highly equipped hosting departments, carrying out research in all research fields, except architecture and engineering. Fellows will benefit from the university’s vivid regional surroundings  and from the long-lasting collaborations with public and private stakeholders.
