Get a taste of classic Vienna with the Mountain Research Initiative @ EGU2015!

Wednesday, 11 February, 2015 - 09:43

Then join the Mountain Research Initiative on 12 April 2015 for a Key Contact Workshop (KCW) to kickstart the week with an unforgettable taste of Vienna!

The MRI will be hosting its annual EGU Key Contact Workshop (KCW) in the beautifulCafé Landtmann Bel-Etage, one of Vienna's most classic institutions. Located in the Palais Lieben-Auspitz, the Bel-Etage has hosted some of Vienna's most famous artists and scientists. Join us in the long tradition of discussing current research-related challenges over "Kaffee und Kuchen"!

As always, the KCW will provide an invaluable opportunity to discuss and resolve some of your current research-related challenges in an open, interdisciplinary forum. Gain new insights into your research, comment on fellow participants' research and discover  opportunities for new collaborations.

But...this won't be your typical Key Contact Workshop! You'll also have the opportunity to participate in the EGU 2015 #SketchYourScience campaign, as well as to experience the City of Waltzes by night with your colleagues.

Curious? Give it a try! Participation in the MRI Key Contact Workshop is FREE (although we won't promise that the evening will be). If you would like to participate, please send a completed research summary with two digital photos (one field picture, one portrait picture) to Erin Gleeson by 10 March 2015.

For more information about the workshop, please visit the workshop site.

For more information about the conference, please visit the EGU website.

We look forward to meeting you in Vienna!

Yours sincerely,
Erin Gleeson and Claudia Drexler
