Mountains for Europe's Future

“Mountains for Europe‘s Future” is an initiative leading to a Strategic Research Agenda to promote the inclusion of specific mountain topics in the Horizon 2020 Work Programmes 2018-20 or other strategic documents.

Join the event to: 
 

  • “Find the mountains in Brussels” on a short guided tour, and learn where and how they are present, even in this distant location;
  • Discuss the strategic research areas and recommended research activities with the authors of the agenda and discussants of the EU institutions and relevant European organisations in a Roundtable;
  • Network with scientists, regional and national representatives, and members of authorities interested in promoting mountain research.

  • Members of Horizon 2020 Experts and Advisory Groups
  • EC Directorates General, most importantly DG Research and Innvovation
  • Members of the European Parliament dealing with mountain regions or research funding
