Journal calls for mountain-related articles

The international innovation scientific and technological centre,Sustainable Development of Mountain Territories "Mountains" (IISTC “Mountains”) presents the international scientific journal, “Sustainable Development of Mountain Territories”. IISTC “Mountains” and the editorial board of the journal are calling for contributions of scientific publications in English from the members of Mountain Partnership.

These articles will contribute to extending the reach of the scientific publication and ensure the dissemination of the ideas of sustainable development among the general public.

The international scientific journal “Sustainable Development of Mountain Territories” was founded in 2007 by the Federal State Budgetary Educational Institution of Higher Education North Caucasian Institute of Mining and Metallurgy (State Technological University). It is published in accordance with the applicable law of the mass media of the Russian Federation, the Charter of NCIMM (STU), the Regulation of the International Scientific Journal “Sustainable Development of Mountain Territories” and the Charter of the Journal “Sustainable Development of Mountain Territories”.

The journal is also registered with the International Standard Serial Numbering. It is published in hard-copy with four issues per year as well as an electronic version, whose content is identical to that of the hard-copy and appears on the internet. By the decision of the Presidium of the Higher Attestation Commission of the Russian Federation on 24 September 2010, “Sustainable Development of Mountain Territories” was included in the list of Russian Scientific Journals, in which the basic scientific results of dissertations for doctoral degree and candidate of sciences should be published.

The first issue came out in 2009. From 2009 to 2015, 25 issues have been published. The authors of the journal publications are prominent Russian and foreign scientists and experts. 

The subjects covered in the journal publications comprise important aspects of sustainable development in mountain areas:
1. Earth Sciences (all branches of science, 36 groups of sciences)
2. Economic Sciences (all branches of science, 6 groups of sciences)
3. Engineering Sciences: 
• Transport, Mountain and Building Mechanical Engineering 
• Computer Science, Computer Facilities and Management 
• Energy
