European Geosciences Union General Assembly 2016

Wednesday, 13 April, 2016 - 08:08

The General Assembly 2016 of the European Geosciences Union (EGU) will bring together geoscientists from all over the world to cover all disciplines of the earth, planetary and space sciences. The EGU aims to provide a forum where scientists, especially early career researchers, can present their work and discuss their ideas with experts in all fields of geoscience.

The EGU is Europe’s premier geosciences union, dedicated to the pursuit of excellence in the geosciences and the planetary and space sciences for the benefit of humanity, worldwide. It was established in September 2002 as a merger of the European Geophysical Society (EGS) and the European Union of Geosciences (EUG), and has headquarters in Munich, Germany.

The mixer will take place on 20 April from 7:00-8:00 pm in Room 2.83 of the Austria Center Vienna. The side event is free but requires a sign-up procedure to help ensure real participation.

The official language of the General Assembly 2016 is English. Simultaneous interpretation is not provided. It is therefore expected that authors are able to present their research more or less fluently in the English language.
